JOHANNES WILHELM BAST - arrived Pa 1732 and died 1777 in NC Questions 1. How we know William was his middle name? 2. Was William his "calling" name? 3. Did he leave a will? 4. Did he own property in Pa? If so was it sold? 5. Did his father own land in Pa? Was this ever checked? 6. Did his father died in Pa or NC - or is this unknown? Mary Cole [email protected]
1. I do not have William as a middle name... In my records, he is just Johännes Bäst.... 2. nope, in no record(s) do we find him refered to as 'Wilhelm' or 'William' 3. Yes, it was written 9/3/1777 and signed "Johannes Bost", proven 1/13/1778 Mecklenburg Co, NC 4. I do not have enough info to prove a father for him (not to my satisfaction) 5. again, I do not have enough info to prove his father (not to my satisfaction) This has been in debate for some time now. I'd like to see it resolved. Dave Long Memphis, TN ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mary H.
