I have seen several sirnames associated with Elias' wife Katherine, but no solid evidence to support any of them... I have seen Katherine's maiden/sirname mostly given as Lylerly or Schlauch (and others)... Someone claims that the name Katherine Schlauch was found in Old St. John's Church records. However, I have seen NO ONE produce this record or any that would even suggest this information. It may be there... idk As far as I'm concerned, Elias' wife Katherine's maiden name is unknown! Katherine's maiden name is "Unknown" in my database anyways. If anyone can provide "source information", please get in contact with me. Thanks! I have what might a help to you at gpdfla.googlepages.com or just gpdfla in case the Google has changed the address again. I. e., I don't have a Caroline Brown in this family unless someone knows something I missed? I also have Elias's wife as Katherine Kylerly and I need to know if that is correct. This family is of course the Johannes Best/Bast bunch that did not stay in Pa. but migrated to Cabarrus Co., NC. I am informed that some of the German data attributed to the Johannes Bast of Pa., is incorrect or wrongly spelled. We are now trying to establish the parentage of the Johannes Bast who went to North Carolina. It was not a Nicol Best/Bast as I previously thought. Are we having fun yet?
