He is buried at Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, Rowan County, NC as he was a PFC in Company "G" 119th Infantry, 30 Div., US Army in World War 1. I found a bit abt. Mary Harvey Bost, born May, 1895, as well as Hoyle with a b'day of 2/9/1909, died 1972. Using these dates, I'd guess that J. D. was born maybe 1830-1850, so I'll search in that time frame.

The lady working there told me that you can still read book 1 but the ink is so old that it will not show up anymore when copied.

Bost gave the property my husband and I purchased to their son M.E. Bost in 1882. It was purchased by another family in 1934 who kept it in their family until we purchased it this year. We are hoping that someone can tell us the history of our property and information about the family that owned it many years ago. We are attempting to remodel the house to look like it did back then and if anyone may possibly have pictures we'd appreciate it if you could e-mail us some.
The only information that I have is that he died around 1950 and is buried at West Concord Cemetery in Concord, NC. His name is either Daniel Worde or Worde Daniel. I am not sure on the spelling of Worde. I have seen a couple of variations of this. He was married to a Lillie Bell Crisco (born 6/26/1893 died 1948). If someone could search any kind of records to see if something comes up I would appreciate it. If your need more info, email me back and I will try to give you anything that may help.
