My father, Harold Bossert, was born January 19, 1928 in Newark, New Jersey. My father just passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2001. I was always under the impression that this was my fathers birthname. Now I am being told that this may be an adopted name. I always knew that he did not know his parents but I was told that when he was 15 years old he found out his name was Bossert not Buzza switched to his name back to Bossert and entered the military- the navy. I was told he entered the navy when he was 15 but said he was 18 years old. I am planning a trip to NJ to look for a birth certificate. He has one but no parents are listed. It just states that a certificate is on record and confirms his birthdate. The name I always had for a father was Eugene Bossert. Mothers name not known? My father was very private about this topic. Facts are very limited.
