He married: (1) Barbara Plattner(Blattner?), who was born March 1, 1790 of Jakob Plattner (Blattner) and Magdalena Siebler, and who died April 3, 1840 in Bauschlott. Their marriage date is unkwn. (2) 2nd wife of Georg Jakob was Margaretha Eberle - b. Nov 2, 1817 in Germany and d. March 10, 1863 in Kankakee Co, IL. Margaret and husband married July 29, 1845 in Bauschlott. George Jakob Bossert, who went by the name of Jacob Bossert, had at least these children: Caroline - b. 1837, Emeline(Madeline) - b. 1843, Charles Michael - b. 1848, Mary - b. 1850, George Jacob - b. 1852, Elizabeth - b. 1854 and Margaret - b. abt 1859. Feb 21, 1795; d. Mar 8, 1878) and had 7 children: Christopher, Charles, John Amos, Andrew J.; Sara Ann; Amanda; and Isaiah.
