R. Bushong in Maricopa County, New Mexico Boschong Subscribers, Back in February 2009 I posted a death record that I had found in Maricopa County, Arizona. At that time, I had no idea who this guy was. Tonight while searching the census for someone totally unrelated to this post, I found H. R. Bushong and it gives us a new clue as to his identity since his death record gave us very little to go on except his age. The age on the death record of about 50 fits right in with this H. R. in Finney County Kansas in the 1900 census as a 31 year old born in Illinois. When you take his age in the 1900 census at 31 and add 18 years for the time of his death in 1918 you get about 50 years old! Exact fit. Sooner or later we will have his true identity! -------------------- Name: H. R. PHOENIX, Ariz. 2 July --- The central Arizona Red Cross district, embracing Maricopa and Pinal counties and the northern part of Yuma county, has secured subscriptions to its funds of $129,433. Of $88,030 already collected in cash. Phoenix contributed $49,830. Small sums came to the Red Cross through direct bequest of three men who lately have taken their own lives in this city. About $50 came from Jose F. Sanedra, a Cuban waiter, Fred Swenson a Swedish chicken rancher, left $150 to the fund. H. R. BUSHONG, a horse buyer, wrote a $50 check payable to the Red Cross and a letter asking that he be wrapped for burial in an American flag. -------------------------------- Researched and Submitted by Gloria Neiger Bushong ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to BOSCHONG-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
