    3. John and Ann and everyone else, Yes, That is the other problem, the article does not give us a whole lot of information and does not say how many acres or give any type of description of the land in the article. I'm not saying that it is H. R. , I'm not saying it's I. N. and I'm not saying that it is your family. I was merely pointing out that your family was not the only Bushong out there early in the development of Arizona. In fact if you read Luther David Bushong's journal, he was there too. We don't know the lineage of H. R. Bushong other then the fact that he was born in Illinois and was a stockman and was about 50 years of age at time of death. And no he is not the son of Calvin P. Bushong and Susan Frances Copp of Clarke County, Virginia. Wrong age, wrong place of birth, etc. No one can assume anything without the Deed. So we need to see whose name is on this land sale Bushong to Reid and from Reid to Miller instead of assuming. I put a call in to an abstract company in Portales early this afternoon and she called the courthouse, talked to the clerk and when the clerk has time, she will take a quick look at the book to see whose name is on the Deed. Until then we wait as so far I have heard nothing. Why do you think it might have belong to H. R. Bushong do you have any records indicating that he lived there? I'm just stating the odds are higher for it belonging to John S Bushong as I know he lived there from at least 1904 to 1910 and he owned at least 160 acres in Portalis, New Mexico. The Bushongs that spent some time in that area homesteading where Brothers John S Bushong, Hiram K Bushong, and James Wilson Bushong and a Lewis H Bushong (son of John S or a cousin?). My great-grandfather James Wilson Bushong, didn't stay long enough to be granted the land. John
