    1. [BOSCHONG] Another Bushong Family Bible - Jacob Bushong and Mary Parsons - KY to TX
    2. Russell Bushong
    3. Boschong Subscribers, Some time ago I researched Jacob Bushong married to Mary Parsons. See BOSCHONG Archives for April 2007 and August 2008. There were a few questions with this family as they seemed to move around a lot and are found in several places in the same years. Charles and Phyllis helped us out with some of the answers. One of my questions was who was the Jacob Bushong mentioned in the Will Book after the Civil War seen below and at that time it wasn't answered definitely. I believe that question can now be answered since Judy Cassidy has posted the family's Bible Record. It only makes sense that this record below was Jacob Perry Bushong, son of Jacob Bushong and Mary Parsons not the father Jacob who would have been way too old to serve in the Civil War. ------------------- Monroe County Kentucky Will Book A (1861 - 1864) 3 May 1865 Page 558 Family History Library, Salt Lake City, Utah Film # 589614 TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN Know Ye, That Jacob Bushong a First Sergeant of Captain Andrew Offutt Company (B) Fifth Regiment of Kentucky Cavalry Volunteers who was enrolled on the tenth day of October one thousand eight hundred and sixty one to serve three years or during the war is hereby Discharged from the service of the United States, this third day of May 1865 at Louisville Kentucky by reason of expiration of term of service (His objection to his being re enlisted is known to exist.)
