Boschong subscribers, This site may be known to all or some, but I would it very interesting. The Library of Congress has a newly available newspaper website call Chronicling America. http://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/ It has fully indexed and searchable images of newspaper pages from all states in the range of 1836 to 1922 I did a BUSHONG search with the following results All states 60,000 pages with 6 million hits Virginia 15000 pages Ohio 25000 pages Penn 5000 pages The full page of the newspaper is viewable and can be downloaded as a PDF I'm looking for Shenandoah co and found many small articles. Some contained marriage or death info. Many had info about who visited who. Happy hunting John Coyle
Thanks John for posting this. There are so many early newspapers with Bushongs mentioned in them stored in Washington DC and it is a shame more of the earliest newspapers are not made available by the Library of Congress.
