Vigo County Indiana Will Book 3 Page 181 and 182 Will of Julia A. Herrington 3 November 1885 I, Julia A. Herrington of Vigo County, in the State of Indiana do make and declare this to be my last Will and Testament, hereby expressly revoking all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made. FIRST: I give and bequeath to my friend Ellen Stevenson, my linens, bedding and pillows; to my friend Mrs. Frank Redford: two pictures and a Shawl: to my friend Miss Lucinda {or Lemuel} Herrington one blanket, and my clothing: to my friend Mrs. Sarah Kaufman one picture: to my relative George Herrington, one picture and to my friend Mrs. Mary Woolen one lamp. SECOND: I give and bequeath to John L. Redford my nephew, one promissory Note for the Sum of Three Thousand ($3000) dollars, and executed to me by the said John L. Redford for the purchase Money of Twenty nine and one half acres of Land (29 1/2) described as follows to Wit: In North part of north West quarter of Section two (2) in Township 11, Range Nine (9) in Said County and State aforesaid, Together with any unpaid interest thereon. THIRD: I give devise and bequeath to my nephew Charles F. Herrington of the State of Illinois, all the rest and residue of my Estate both real and personal of every character and description whatever. FOURTH: I hereby nominate and appoint my friend Miss Belle Stevenson my Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament. Witness my hand and Seal this 3rd day of November A. d. 1885. JULIA A. Thompson as Witnesses thereto, in the presence of Said Testatrix and by her Request and that Said Testatrix declared the Same to be her last Will and that Said Testatrix was not at the time of executing Said Will an infant or of unsound mind or under Coercion.
