I have transcribed this exactly as it was written changing no spelling. There is no probate date or proof by Court by witnesses on this Will and Codicil in the Will Book. --------------------- Lancaster County Pennsylvania Will Book G Pages 206 - 208 Will of Barbara Eackman Will written 2 November 1789 Codicil written 29 November 1794 In the name of God Amen. I, Barbara Eackman widdow of Heironymus Eackman Late of Earl Township in the county of Lancaster deceased, being at present in an infirm State of Health but of Sound and disposing mind and memory and knowing the certainty of death and the uncertainty of time hereto this Second day of November in the year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and Eighty nine, make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following. That is to say I desire that my Body may be decently intered after my decease at the descretion of my Executor herein after named confiding in the merits of my blessed redeemer for admition into the Regions of Eternal Happiness Imprimis. I will that all such debts as I shall justly owe at the time of my decease and my funeral charges and expenses be paid in the first place by my Executor and as to the Rest of my Estate, I do dispose of in manner and form following: ITEM: I will devise and Bequeath unto my children John Eackman, Barbara the wife of Jacob Stoutsberg and Eave the wife of John Bersham, Heironymus Eackman and Ester the wife of George Cunkle. Each of them an Equal share of my Estate that may be at my Decease. ITEM: I will devise and Bequeath unto the five children Each of them an Equal share of what may Remain unpaid of my Late Husband's Will at the time of my Decease to be given them in manner and form following: That is to say John Eackman is to have the whole share unto me by said Will the first year and Barbera the wife of Jacob Stoutsberg, is to have the second share due to me by my said husband's Will the second year and Eave the wife of John Busham is to have the third share due to me by said husband's Will and Hieronymous Eackman is to have the fourth share due to me by my Husband's Will and Easter the wife of George Cuncle is to have the fifth share that will be due to me the fifth year after my deceas by my said husband's Will and if any Remainder should be there is to be an Equal Devide of that Remainder in five shares and to begin and be devided as above to the above five children. And I do hereby Constitute and appoint my son John Eackman to Execute this my Last Will and Testament and do hereby vest him with all the power that was given me in my late husband's Will as Executor of said Will. And I do hereby uterly disallow, revoke and disanull all and Every other Will, former Testament and Legacys and Executors by me in any way before this time names willed and Bequeathed Rattifying and Confirming this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament. JOHN MCCULLOUGH JEAN ERSKIE ISAAC MCCULLOUGH I, Barbara Eackman of Bart Township, Lancaster county and State of Pennsylvania do this 19th day of November make and publish this codicil to my Last Will and Testament in manner following (viz): I give to my son Martin Eackman the sum of five shillings and to my son Jacob Eackman the sum of five pounds and to my daughter Magdalena Eackman the sum of five shillings the above three Legacies to be lawful money of the State of Pennsylvania to be ? and Levied out of the property made by me since my Husband's decease and the Remainder of said property to be divided among my five children mentioned in the face of this my Last Will. Equally it is my Desire that this my present Codicil be annexed to and made a part of my Last Will and Testament All Intents and purposes.
