Boschong Subscribers, I know I put this on the List sometime ago and it should be in the Archives but I see it has been removed. It shouldn't have been. And here's why. Mary Feller Wickes in her hand written original research put the birth date for John Bushong as 30 August 1731 and later the 1 was written over and made into a 2 by someone else. As recorded in the Ship registry of the Brittania, there were two children born on the ship during the voyage over. When they arrived in Port of Philadelphia on 21 September 1731, the registry notes their ages. One baby 5 weeks old and one baby 15 days old. Since we know that there was a John Bushong noted on the Ship registry under age 16 that has not been recognized by a lot of you, I contend that John Bushong would have been one of these babies born on the Ship. I believe that the date of the 30 of August 1732 was probably the day he was baptized in Pennsylvania after the parents were established and found a minister to do that and someday when that baptism record surfaces, I will be proven correct.
