If you remember correctly, I had a question about a land grant for Jacob Bushong with a legal description that matched identically with a Deed executed later with siblings Simon Bushong and Barbara Bushong with the same legal description. So how did they get this land in the Deed if they were not somehow connected to this Jacob? Still just asking. -------------------- No. 86 Guardianship Page 140 HANCOCK {COUNTY} PROBATE Guardianship of SIMON BUSHONG BARBARA BUSHONG JOHN BUSHONG, Guardian KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, That we John Bushong, John Hodge and Joseph A. Leslie are Jointly and Severally bound to pay to the State of Ohio, the Full sum of Two hundred dollars. Signed and sealed by us at Findlay this 16th day of May A. D. 1842. THE CONDITION of the above Obligation is that of the said John Bushong, shall faithfully discharge all the duties enjoined on Heirs Consistent by law as GUARDIAN for Simon Bushong and Barbary Bushong who are minors and who shall render up when required a just a true account of his doings as Guardian as aforesaid and all the profits arising to said heirs from any lands which may or may come into hands and shall pay the same when thereto legally required , then this obligation is to be void else to remain in full force and virtue in law.
