Boschong Subscribers, I found an obit in the Pulaski, Virginia newspaper for Matthew Dennis Jarrell with a mention of their daughter Mrs. Henry Bushong. The Rev. Johnny Howlett officiated the double ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Henry A. and Almeta A. Bushong of Pulaski. The groom is the son of Delbert Eugene Nixon Sr. of Draper and Fannie Irene Horton of Trinity, North Carolina. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white two-piece suit and carried a bouquet of white carnations tipped fushia. the mother of the bride wore a turquoise blouse and pleated skirt. The groom's mother wore a navy blue dress. A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents and given by Cecile Jarrells, Aunt of the bride. The tables were decorated in lavender and white and adorned with bells and streamers. The three-tiered wedding cake ws highlighted by a miniature bride and groom. Other refreshments included chips and dip, mints and rainbow punch.
