    1. Re: [BOSCHONG] Who is Henry Almond Bushong of Pulaski, VA who married Almeta Jarrell?
    2. Russell Bushong
    3. Boschong Subscribers, I was told by Rick that Henry Almond Bushong was the son of Donald Willis Bushong Sr. and Edna Horsley. In the BOSCHONG Archives is the following obit which mentions a Henry and Almeta Bushong of Ohio. ----------------------------------------- Emmett Messenger (Idaho) December 2008 Ronald Eugene "Ron" Bushong Ronald "Ron" Eugene Bushong passed away on Dec. 19, 2008, at the young age of 65. To honor our father's wishes, there will be no public viewing, no chapel services and no reception following the graveside services. Dad wanted only to be back beside Mom. A procession of family and friends will leave the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett, Idaho, on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, at 1:45 p.m., and we will honor Dad at the Emmett Cemetery at 2 p.m. Dad was born Sept. 23, 1943, in Marion, Ohio, to Don and Edna Bushong. He grew up in Ohio, and on his 17th birthday joined the United States Army and would honorably serve his country. Dad believed everyone should always put in an honest day's work; have love, dreams, passions and goals in their life; and then it was time to focus on the fun stuff. In the spring of 1967, he met Patsy, a young Kentucky girl, who would become the love of his life. Just a few short months later, on his 24th birthday, he would marry her and together they would raise three children and have a life full of love. They found themselves in Ohio, Florida, Michigan, back in Ohio and then Idaho, the place they would both call God's country and home. They came to the Emmett Valley in 1978 and never wanted to leave. Dad's passion in life was his family, never believing he could ever do enough for us. Dad's dream was to work for himself, and in 1977 started Bushong Services, often putting in 18-plus hour days and becoming a much respected businessman in the Treasure Valley. He often said he had the honor of being acquainted with some of the most wonderful people he would ever meet while painting some of the most beautiful homes one could ever imagine. The most challenging and rewarding part of his job though was when he began doing custom wood lacquering and finishing; to him it was an art. After the work was done, Dad found time to have fun. For quite a few years, he was a member of the Moose Lodge where he met friends who would last a life-time. He enjoyed the outdoors - hunting, fishing, a day driving through the mountains, backyard barbecues and was always up for a good game of horseshoes. He enjoyed family get-togethers and getaways and always looked forward to a "quick trip to Jackpot." He adored Mom, loved his family and cherished his friends. Those of us who already miss him are his daughter, Rhonda Bushong of Emmett, son, Darrin (Patricia) Bushong of Meridian, Idaho and daughter Sharon (Robert) Clark of Emmett and 11 grandchildren; his brothers, Ernie (Susie) Bushong of Emmett, Don (Gun) Bushong of Nampa, Idaho, Henry (Almeta) Bushong of Ohio, Phillip Bushong of West Virginia and Tyrone Truijillo of Ohio; and his sister, Vicky Sisk of West Virginia. There are many nieces, nephews and friends who will also miss him very much. Dad was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Ann Bushong; his parents; and three sisters. We want everyone to know how much we appreciate all they have done for us and for Dad. There is just no way of putting it into words. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dad's name to the Emmett Food Pantry.
