Born in Montezuma, Indiana, he came here 26 years ago from Indianapolis. He was a retired master machinist for the Navy Department and a National Guardsman. He was a member of the American Legion. Survivors include a son, Greg, Tarpon Springs; a daughter, Linda C. Gray, St. Petersburg; two brothers, James, Montezuma, and Joseph, Indianapolis; seven sisters, Marlene Manley and Leota Wilson, both of Indianapolis, Mary Russell, Pauline Haugee and Ardith Bushong, all of Rockville, Indiana, Helen Summerville, Dana, Indiana, and Joan Hanley, St. Augustine; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
