Notice that the surname is spelled Beshong not Bushong. ----------------- Adams County Ohio Deed Book 1 Pages 25 & 26 30 June 1798 This Indenture made the thirtieth day of June in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety eight Between Nathaniel Massie of Adams County in the North Western territory of the one part and Catherine Beshong of the same place of the other part. WITNESSETH That for and in consideration of the sum of 10 dollars current money of Kentucky to the said Nathaniel Massie in hand paid by the said Catherine Beshong at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents: The receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and thereof doth release acquit and discharge the said Catharine Beshong her executors and administrators by these presents he the said Nathaniel Massie hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Catharine Beshong and her heirs a certain lott of ground in the town of Chillicothe known and distinguished on the general plan of said town by No. seventy one CONTAINING six poles in front and twelve back and all houses orchards, ways, waters, watercourses profits commodities hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever to the said premises hereby granted or any part thereof belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and also all the estate right title interest use trust properly claim and demand whatsoever of him the said Nathaniel Massie of in and to the said premises and all deeds evidence and writing touching or in anywise concerning the same TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the lands hereby conveyed and all and singular other the premises hereby granted and every part and parcel thereof with their and every of the appertaining unto unto the said Catherine Beshong her heirs and assigns forever to the only proper use and behoof of her the said Catharine Beshong her heirs and assigns forever. And the said Nathaniel Massie for himself and his executors and administrators doth covenant premise and grant to and with the said Catharine Beshong her heirs and assigns by these presents that the said Nathaniel Massie now at the time of sealing and delivering of these presents is seized of a good sure perfect and indefeasible estate of equity in fee simple of and in the premises hereby granted and that he hath good power and lawful and absolute authority to grant and convey the same to the said Catherine Beshong in manner and form aforesaid and that the said premises now are and forever hereafter shall remain and be free and clear of and from all former and other gifts grants bargains sales Dower right and title and title of Dower Judgements executions title troubles charges and incumbrances whatsoever made done committed or suffered by the said Nathaniel Massie or any person or persons whatsoever. The land tax imposed by law only excepted and foreposed and lastly that the said Nathaniel Massie and his heirs all and singular the premises hereby granted and released with the appurtenances unto the the appurtenances unto the said Catherine Beshong and her her heirs and assigns against him the said Nathaniel Massie and his heirs and all and every other person whatsoever shall warrant and forever defend by these presents.
