Ross County Ohio Deed Book 1 Page 489 22 July 1801 Jeremiah McLane, Sheriff to Catharine Beshong, Lot 254 of Valentine Beshong THIS INDENTURE made the Twenty second day of July in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and one between Jeremiah McLane, Sheriff of Ross County on the one part and Catharine Beshong on the other part WITNESSETH That the said Jeremiah McLane, Sheriff as aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty six dollars to him in hand paid by the said Catharine Beshong hath this day sold and by these presents doth grant bargain sell release and confirm unto the {said} Catharine Beshong her heirs and assigns forever one in Lot in the town of Chillicothe known by the No. Two hundred and fifty four TOGETHER with all improvements profits and appurtenances whatsoever to the said premises belonging to or in anywise appertaining and all the estate right title use interest property claim and and demand of Valentine Beshong which is formerly was and whose property and whose property it was executed and sold to satisfy a debt due to Lucas Fuller Sullivant to the said Catharine Beshong her heirs and assigns forever to the said proper use and behoof of her the said Catharine Beshong her heirs and assigns forever. IN TESTIMONY Whereof I the said Jeremiah McLane as Sheriff as aforesaid have herewith set my hand and seal at Chillicothe in the County aforesaid this day and year first above written.
