We found the obit for Samuel B. Harshberger. The Shenandoah Herald 23 January 1878 Page 3, Column 3 DEATH OF A GOOD CITIZEN On 15 January 1878, near this place, after long suffering and much patience, Samuel B. Harshberger departed this life at his residence; aged 73 years and 20 days. Mr. Harshberger was long and favorably known in this community. He was a good citizen and an accommodating neighbor.
