Boschong Subscribers, We found an obit for a William A. Bushong which peaked our interest. The Reading Eagle Reading, Pennsylvania Monday, 7 March 1932 Page 16 William A. Bushong died Sunday at his home, 1264 North 12th Street, at the age of 61 years. He was a native and lifelong resident of Reading, a son of the late William A. and Lydia B. Heller Bushong. He was a machinist by occupation, was a member of the P. & R. Relief Association and the Eagles. There survive his widow, Vinnie A. (Bossler) Bushong, one daughter, Grace M. and a brother John H. The body was removed to the parlors of Funeral Director T. C. Auman, from which place the funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon. ------------------------------- We searched the BOSCHONG Archives to see what would pop out and realized that we had posted about his mother Mrs. Lydia B. Bushong back in February 2007. We still are not sure about his lineage. ------------------------- Subject: [BOSCHONG] 1910 Obit for Mrs. Lydia B. Bushong Date: Sun, 18 Feb 2007 15:11:19 EST Subscribers, The following obit left us totally confused when we tried to research from the information given in it. We still do not know how the Bushong name fits in. We are pretty sure that Lydia's maiden name was Heller. We do not know which Bushong she married if she did marry and how the name Lorah fits into the picture. Anyone researched or descended from these people that could answer our questions? The age differences are striking but since Ancestry records are copied from the microfilm and transcribers make mistakes, we are not too worried. There too is the consideration that the parents were illiterate. We do think we have the correct people here. We think Henry Heller was married 3 times, to Esther, Magdalena and Elizabeth. ------------ The Philadelphia Inquirer 27 February 1910 Page 1 WOMAN DEAD IN BED Special to the Inquirer READING, Pa., Feb. 26-----When John H. Lorah returned home from work yesterday for his noonday meal he found his mother, Mrs. Lydia B. Bushong, 61 years old, dead in bed on the second floor.
