Well, I am now a happy camper. I had a nice telephone conversation with Liz Bushong. She is married to Doug Bushong and he is from the Syracuse, Kosciusko County, Indiana Bushongs. It had two pictures, one of them when they married and a current photo. The Times-Union Serving Warsaw and Koscuisko County, Indiana 21 September 2010 Bushong 65th {WEDDING ANNIVERSARY} Avon and Mary Ellen Bushong, Syracuse, will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary Sept. 30, 2010. Avon and the former Mary Ellen Kunkel were married Sept. 30, 1945, in Elkhart, by the Rev. Lawrence Hoeppner. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a post master and she retired from the cafeteria department of the Syracuse School Corp. The couple have two children, Doug (and spouse Liz) Bushong, Johnson City, Tenn., and Mary Kay Ridings, Syracuse; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
