Hancock County Ohio Deed Book 4 Pages 410-411 16 September 1837 KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS that we Jacob Bushong and Elizabeth Bushong wife of the said Jacob Bushong of the County of Hancock and State of Ohio in consideration of the sum of ten dollars in hand paid by John Travis, Samuel Morehead, James Moorehead, Mahlon Morris and Isaac S. Wilson, trustees of the first Presbyterian Congregation of Pleasant Hill in Portage township, Hancock County and State of Ohio, have bargained and sold and do hereby grant bargain sell and convey unto the John Travis, Samuel Moorehead, James Moorehead, Mahlon Morris and Isaac S. Wilson and their successors in office forever (for a cite for a meeting house and burying ground and for other purposes the burying ground to be free for all people to bury therein) the following premises situate in the County of Hancock in the State of Ohio and in the section twenty two township two North range ten East and bounded and described as follows BEGINNING at a post at the North west corner of the East half of the North West quarter of said section thence South eighteen perches thence East nine perches thence North eighteen perches thence West nine perches to the place of beginning CONTAINING one acre and two rods more or less to have and to hold said premises with the appurtenances unto the said John Travis, Samuel Moorehead, James Moorehead, Mahlon Morris and Isaac S. Wilson and their successors forever and the said Jacob Bushong and Elizabeth his wife for themselves and heirs doth hereby Covenant with the said John Travis, Samuel Moorehead, James Moorehead, Mahlon Morris and Isaac S. Wilson and their successors in office that they are lawfully seized of the premises are free and clear from all incumbrances whatsoever and that they will forever Warrant and defend the same with the appurtenances unto the said John Travis, Samuel Moorehead, James Moorehead, Mahlon Morris and Isaac S. Wilson and their successors in office against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever. IN TESTIMONY whereof the said Jacob Bushong and Elizabeth Bushong have hereunto set their hands and seals this sixteenth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty seven.
