Boschong Subscribers, We could never understand why we couldn't find anything about Andrew J. Bushong who served in the 18th Virginia Calvary during the Civil War. This unit did a lot of "spying" and reporting back the whereabouts of the Union troops. On the LDS Family History site you can now search by name the Civil War Records. There are a lot of Bushongs with misspelled names among them Andrew J. Bushong! His record is misspelled Andrew Bushond and Andrew Boshong. He served in 18th Virginia Calvary, Company D which we already knew because of paperwork the family in Indiana owns. It is nice to have it verified in the records. Gloria Bushong
