Bushong, a leading citizen of his community, died of Bright's disease, at his home at Indian Springs, Tuesday night at 11 o'clock. The funeral will take place at the residence at 10 o'clock this morning, and will be conducted by Revs. Cox and Keen, Baptist ministers. The deceased was fifty seven years of age. A wife and thirteen children survive him. Mr. Bushong was a farmer and a substantial citizen. He had been a school director in his civil district for twenty years, and was constable of the district at his death, having served in that capacity for six years. He became a member of the Baptist church two years ago. The remains will be interred in Gunning's Cemetery at 12 o'clock today. The Blountville correspondent telephones that Mr. Bushong was a confederate soldier and a member of Captain David McClellan's company, to which company Sheriff McClelland and Dr. N. T.
