Boschong Subscribers, Right along with the marriage record of Simon Miller to Catharine Bushon from the previous post, we have Catharine Miller married to John Bushon also in Tuscarawas County, Ohio. Are Catharine Miller and Simon Miller sister and brother and John Bushon and Catharine Bushon brother and sister? If so, then who the heck are their parents??? Tuscarawas County is the next county over from Stark and Carroll County in Ohio. I know these three counties well since my ancestors on my mother's side lived there very early on, the Wadsworths, McLaughlins, Boyds, and Finefrocks. My great great grandfather Jacob Runk Wadsworth was a saddler and mayor of Magnolia at one time. ---------------------------- TUSCARAWAS COUNTY OHIO MARRIAGE RETURNS Page 181, #1441 State of Ohio, Tuscarawas County ss I hereby certify that on the 13th day of October 1831, by virtue of a license from the Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas, I joined in the Holy State of Matrimony, John Bushon and Catherine Miller. John Fashbaugh, Justice of the Peace -------------- I could not find John and Catharine in the 1850 census but I did find a John Bushon in Tuscarawas County in 1850 but he was born around 1827, before John Bushon married Catharine Miller in 1831. Could he be a son from a previous marriage? So much yet to know about the Ohio Bushongs! 1850 Federal Census: Ohio Uhrichsville Mill Township, Tuscarawas County Enumerated 30 August 1850 Page 292A Line 17, HH 1/1 Boarding with David Uhlrich, Landlord John Bushon 23/Male/Physician/OH ----------------- There is a J. H. Bushon in the 1860 census in Harrison Township, Van Wert County who could be the above John Bushon. He is age 33 years and born in Ohio. FHC does not allow you to view the census and they don't state what his occupation was. If this is him, I couldn't find him after the 1860 census. -------------------- Researched and Submitted by Gloria Bushong
