    1. [BOSCHONG] Cecilia Bushong Hockman Cuffley - Virginia and Maryland
    2. Boschong Subscribers, We have posted before about Isaac Bushong and his two wives Cevilla/Sevilla Wendel/Windle and Sarah Ann Mort. There has always been a mystery about Cecelia who married Charles F. Cuffley and went by the last name of Hockman. There are one of two scenarios with her but in either Isaac Bushong was her father. Scenario Number One: Shortly after her birth and the death of her mother, Cevilla/Sevilla Bushong, Cecelia was placed with her Aunt and Uncle Elizabeth V. Mort and William D. Hockman. Elizabeth was the sister of Sarah Ann Mort who was living in 1860 in Isaac Bushong's household. They were daughters of Abraham Mort and wife Catharine Ann. By age 11 Cecilia was living with Branson Williams and his wife next door to Isaac Bushong and Sarah Ann Mort. Scenario Number Two: While living in the household of Isaac and Cevilla Bushong, Sarah Ann Mort became pregnant by Isaac Bushong thus her sister Elizabeth V. Hockman stepped in a took Cecilia to raise her niece from babyhood thus her name adopted as Hockman. Family stories support the first scenario.
