Hello all, One connection I can find for Bushong to Hauk is in the Bethlehem Cemetery, Swan, Noble County, Indiana A memorial on Find a Grave where there is a stone photo present reads Elizabeth Wife of Samuel Homsher died May 1, 1882 aged 77y 1m 14d the memorial lists Elizabeth Hauk Homsher Birth: Mar. 11, 1804 Death: May 1, 1882 Children: Catharine Homsher Bushong (1823 - 1865)* Lovina Homsher Cramer (1842 - 1925)* Burial: Bethlehem Cemetery Swan Noble County Indiana, USA Plot: 8 Find A Grave Memorial# 21039886 ---------------------------------------------------------- Catharine Homsher was the wife of Andrew Jackson Bushong Birth: Oct. 11, 1812 Death: Jun. 8, 1891 Buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Kendallville, Noble County, Indiana Find A Grave Memorial# 45639029 Catharine, is buried in Mount Pleasant, too. Andrew is born in Shenandoah County, Virginia, Catharine is born in Pennsylvania. It appears Samuel and family came to Indiana, via Columbiana County, Ohio, where they are listed in the 1850 Census. It also shows that they moved to Ohio, after son Albert, was born in 1832 Pennsylvania, and after son Benjamin was born in abt 1836 (Ohio). In Columbiana County, by the 1850 Census, there was a convergence of two groups of Bushongs, the Pennsylvania and Virginia branches. Don't know what it all means, I'm just trying to figure out who William Bushong, living with the Hauks in Pennsylvania, is.
