It is amazing how much misinformation is still floating around out there despite all the hard work I have done to straighten out some of it. I think the reason Isaac and Sevilla/Cevilla don't have tombstones is because this particular family had a very hard time recovering from the Civil War and they went bankrupt. Gloria, I agree with you. I also have found that Isaac did not receive recognition for his service in the Confederacy because he served in the Militia instead of the regular army. (The shame of it all is that the National Guard soldiers who have served in Afghanistan and Iraq do not get equal Veterans benefits today). While living in Virginia, I was told by an attendant at FIVE FORKS BATTLE FIELD Park that Isaac did not show up in any military confrontations.
