The Presbyterian Banner Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Wednesday, 31 August 1864 Page 3 DIED - At the residence of his father William Bushong, near Oneida, Ohio, 19th August, John Bushong, aged 21 years. He had gone out as a member of the O. N. G., was taken with measles, from which he did not recover. He was removed home, but survived only ten days. He gave evidence months before his death, as well as on his death-bed, that he was prepared for death. a natural diffidence and sense of self-unworthiness had kept him from publicly professing Christ. Many friends mourn their loss, but not without hope. -------------------- Did O. N. G. stand for Ohio National Guard?     2. Gloria, Oneida is less than 1 mile from the cemetery that his parents are buried at. Any chance that John is also buried there?
