He had been in ill health for several years. Bushong was born in Collin County {Texas} and lived for a time in New Mexico. He had been a resident of Dallas 25 years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Bushong, three daughters, Mrs. W. A. Walker {Margaret}, Miss Mary Katherine and Miss Joe Kate Bushong all of Dallas, and two sons, Corporal Lewis Herbert Bushong Jr. now on his way home from Germany, and Lanny Downes Bushong of Dallas.
