Paragould Daily Press Paragould, Greene County, Arkansas Saturday, 19 March 2011 THELMA WELLS Thelma Pauline Wells, 81, of Paragould, died Thursday at Greene Acres Nursing Home in Paragould. She was born Dec. 22, 1929, in Leachville, to the late Frank and Grace Robinette Burgess. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene S. Wells; son, Garryl “Yogi” Wells; and sister, Almarie Gosnell. She was a school teacher and librarian for over 25 years at Stanford, Oak Grove and Paragould schools. She was a member of Commissary Church of Christ and enjoyed games, puzzles, books and jokes. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon and Bob Bushong; sons, Michael Wells, David and Sandy Wells, all of Paragould; brother, Joe Burgess of Pacific, Mo.; brother-in-law, Bill Gosnell of Pevely, Mo.; grandchildren, Thomas Lee and Gina Wells, Bradley Clark and Alyssa Wells; great-granddaughter, Lily Wells, all of Paragould; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Heath Funeral Home. Her life will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Sunday at Heath Colonial Chape with Art Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers are David Goebel, Coleman Rothe, Winston Hollis, Hal Hyde, Casey Bruce, David Dodd with Charles and Phillip Rowe being honorary pallbearers.
