Crow Funeral Home Obit Glasgow, Kentucky Olive Maxey Holloway GLASGOW — Olive Maxey Holloway, 86, of Glasgow, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her children on Monday, March 28, 2011. Born July 1, 1924, in Wayne County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Lenora Bessie Correll and Scott Carter. She was the devoted wife of the late James G. Holloway. Maxie worked at Production Credit Association for 15 years, and then she worked by her husband’s side at Glasgow Building Supply. She was a member of South Green Street Church of Christ. Maxie lived her life with quiet grace and humility. She was an avid reader with a keen interest in politics. She made beautiful hand-stitched quilts, creative needlepoint pieces and unforgettable memories for her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Holloway, and her sister, Laura Mae Bagby. She was the beloved mother of Wanda (Marvin) Mabry of Somerset, Rhonda (Ben) Cormney of Richmond, and Jim (Janet) Holloway of Glasgow; the adored grandmother of Greg Bushong of Somerset, Kyle Cormney of Washington, DC, Gabe Cormney of Bowling Green, Regan Olivia Cormney of Lexington and Wesley and Cameron Holloway of Glasgow, and the great-grandmother of Hannah and Conner Bushong. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2011, at South Green Street Church of Christ with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Monroe County. Visitation will be at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home on Thursday beginning at 10 a.m. and on Friday at the church from 9 a.m. until time for the service.
