TED E. BUSHONG Ted E. Bushong, 75, of Marysville, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007, at the emergency room at Memorial Hospital of Union County after a six month illness. He was retired from OM Scotts where he had been employed as an electrician for 34 1/2 years and formerly drove a school bus for Raymond Elementary. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He had attended Raymond Church of Christ in Christian Union in earlier years. He was a 1950 graduate of Northwestern Local High School where he was a member of the basketball team. He was a longtime regular at breakfast at the Delaware Avenue McDonald's and especially enjoyed the camaraderie of his friends. He enjoyed sitting on the front porch of his home watching traffic pass by and looked forward to going to garage sales each weekend. He treasured time spent at the family cottage at Indian Lake and especially treasured time spent with his wife and family. He was born on the family farm on Rapp Dean Road near Raymond, on April 23, 1932, to the late the Rev. Kermit and Martha Alice Jennings Bushong. He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Bumgarner, and an infant brother, Sam Bushong. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Jacqueline "Jackie" Argo Bushong, to whom he was married June 16, 1952, in Wichita Falls, Texas; his children, Ed (Becky) Bushong of Milford Center, Teri (Stephen) Davis of Destin, Fla., and Connie Neibarger of Hilliard; five grandchildren, Kasey (Chas) McCutcheon, Angie Bushong, Jennifer (Dell) Sikes, Megan Bumgarner and Brittnie Bumgarner; five great-grandchildren, Whitney, Dell and Jacqueline Ann Marie Sikes, and Zoey and River Tornberg; a sister, JoAnn (Ron) Belville of Marysville; a brother, Dan (Joyce) Bushong of Bellefontaine; a brother-in-law, Charlie (Sue) Argo of Marysville; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Mannasmith Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Tim Nowlin will officiate and burial will take place at Raymond Cemetery.
