    2. Back in April 2009, I posted about Andrew Bushong, who I now believe, is the father of this boy. His mother was Sarah Wesley. He must not have lived long after going West in 1862, thus not mentioned in any family history. This was a tragic family as another son Orange was killed in the Civil War. Orange E. Bushong Born: 28 September 1847, Hancock County, Ohio Died: 27 May 1864, Battle of Pickett's Mill, Paulding County, Georgia. This mill was owned by Malachi Pickett and was located near Marietta, Georgia. Burial: He most likely is buried in Marietta Georgia National Cemetery with all the other soldiers who died in that awful battle. ----------------------- The Daily Jeffersonian Findlay, Ohio 21 July 1884 Page 4 MRS. SARAH BUSHONG Mrs. Sarah, wife of A. Bushong, died at the family residence on East Main Cross Street at 8 o'clock Saturday morning, aged about 64 years. The funeral services were held at the residence at 3 o'clock on Sunday afternoon and the remains were interred in Maple Grove Cemetery. The pall bearers were William France, William Marvin, Josiah Smith, William Thompson, S. C. Groves and C. A. Croninger. ----------------------- Researched and Submitted by Gloria Bushong
