Found more on the lawsuit. OCTOBER, 1769 (B). Nicholas Null vs. John Craig.--Chancery. Bill filed, 1767. Revived, 1768, November. Nicholas Null, orator. Revived by George Null, eldest son and heir. Nicholas Null, late of Pennsylvania, but now of this Colony, came to Virginia, 1750. Applied to William Burk for a piece of land which Burk had bought of James Wood of Frederick. John Craig had a claim on the land. Null was a German. Valentine Pence was brother-in-law of Nicholas Null. ---------------------------- If Nicholas Null came to Virginia in 1750, are we sure that his daughter-in-law Margaret who married his son Philip Null was the daughter of Jacob Bushong and Juliana Weigel? I'm thinking more and more that Margaret was the daughter of that mysterious Bushong of Augusta County with the daughter Elizabeth who because a ward of John McClananhan and that possibly Margaret was an older sister.
