Boschong Subscribers, We could find very little on Catharine Bushong of Stark County, Ohio and her family. We believe that Catharine and her husband Abraham were both dead by the 1860 census. Here is what we did find. We suspect she is the daughter of John Bushong and Barbara Kreighbaum but no real document to make this a slam dunk. Abraham Ream Jr.'s father Abraham Ream Sr. died in 1834. The Ream family go back to Pennsylvania and served in the Revolutionary War. They came to Stark County, Ohio the same time as John Bushong and wife Barbara. Check the BOSCHONG Archives for May 2009, History of Summit County, Ohio as a Ream girl married into the Myers family who married into the Bushong family and this Bushong family is the Stark County, Ohio Bushongs. I guess I will send for Abraham Ream's Will and probate to see if when he wrote it, and the estate was settled, Catherine was still alive. ---------------------- 1830 Federal Census: Ohio Lake Township, Stark County Page 249 ABRAHAM REAM SR. 1 male 5 and under 10 years of age 1 male 15 and under 20 years of age 1 male 40 and under 50 years of age 1 female 5 and under 10 years of age 1 female 15 and under 20 years of age 1 female 40 and under 50 years of age The Ohio Repository Canton, Ohio Friday, 24 October 1834 Page 2, Column 4 TAKE NOTICE All persons having claims against the estate of Abraham Ream, late of Lake township, Stark County, deceased, are hereby notified to present them to the undersigned, within one year from the date hereof, legally proven for settlement.
