Boschong Subscribers, We now know that Morton Edwin Bushong was not the son of Henry Bushong as the Slaymaker book indicates. His parents were John Bushong and Phoebe Hobson. They were married 28 November 1878 in Chester County, Pennsylvania and John died January 1891 and is buried in Homerville Friend Burying Ground in Chester County, Pennsylvania. We found the following in an old Winter 1987 Bushong Bulletin. Page 41. "Judy Cassidy sent us a photocopy of an item from a torn scrap of newspaper, undated, but it appears to be in the late 1800's. The George School was in Newtown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania and states: "George School Notes: The Penn Public Meeting was called to Order on 7th day evening by the President, Stephen B. Twining. Minutes read. Then followed the following excellent program: Morton Bushong, "When John Left The Farm." Morton Edwin Bushong was probably a school boy at this time and was giving a report on his father John Bushong. I'd be willing to bet that Morton Edwin Bushong is probably buried in the same cemetery as his father John. I will see if I can track it down for sure on Monday. Gloria Bushong
