    3. Good Morning Boschong Subscribers, I have made a decision to keep posting to this List. However, it will not be my research but will be straight from the Bushong Bulletin. 1. [BOSCHONG] Bushong Reunion Facebook Page - Giving the wrong impression to the Public
    2. Russell Bushong
    3. Good Afternoon Boschong Subscribers, I hope all of the 93 members of the Bushong Reunion Facebook Page are enjoying the scanned copies of the original documents and old photos that I am posting to that Page. I am giving the sources while posting. If anyone wants a copy of these scans, all they have to do is e-mail me and I will be happy to send them along. None of what I am posting to that Page was ever shown in the Bushong Bulletin with the exception of the Page I posted showing Carol Willsey Bell's submission in 1985 of her Bosang research which includes an entire page. At the bottom of the page it states: Submitted by Carol Willsey Bell, C. G. Well that certainly would give any researcher the idea that Bosang was Bushong since the purpose of the Bulletin as stated on the first page of every issue is: A GENEALOGICAL PUBLICATION ABOUT BUSHONG FAMILY LINES That sort of says it all don't you think? And I cited my source! One has a lot of nerve critizizing a Facebook Page that they are not a member by their choice and have never even seen the contents of the Page. That is quite a trick. If you really want to be credible with your criticism, you must view the Page and it's contents first. That's just being a good researcher. Just saying......... Gloria Neiger Bushong

    2. Russell Bushong
    3. Good Beautiful Morning Boschong Subscribers, If you have not already become a member of the Bushong Reunion Group on Facebook, you are missing a lot. I just posted a copy of the original Marriage Bond and the Permission Slip, hand written by Jacob Acard, for his daughter Elizabeth to marry David Bushong in Shenandoah County, Virginia. It is a pleasure to be able to share these original records with you. Records that my husband Russell and I have obtained over the years on our various research trips. Blessings! 1. [BOSCHONG] Correction on name of Daniel Scott Fear - Dan not Scott
    2. Russell Bushong
    3. Boschong Subscribers, Last month I posted an obit for Daniel Scott Fear. He was the son-in-law of Conrad and Carra Bushong, regular Reunion attendees. I notice today that on the Bushong List it was pointed out by Fraya that I had called Dan his middle name of Scott. I apologize for that. I guess it was because at the time of that post, I was thinking about my own son Scott and it was just a mental slip when typing. I was so sad for Conrad, Carra and family. So again I sincerely apologize for naming him as Scott when he was called Dan. A simple e-mail from Fraya to me at the time of the mistake would have been considerate and I would have gladly corrected it at the time. Gloria Neiger Bushong

    1. [BOSCHONG] Original documents - Integrity over Fabrication
    2. Russell Bushong
    3. Boschong Subscribers, I am posting slowly, original documents to the Bushong Reunion group Page at Facebook. Since it is a private group, only those that are members can see these. There is no Share button. That's what private is all about. But if you are a member and want a copy of any of the documents that I post, I will be more then happy to send them to you in an e-mail. I just shared the original court documents for the marriage of Andrew Bushong and Elizabeth Calvert on the Facebook page. It proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that there was a huge mistake made by early researchers and passed around for years. I was even guilty, like one of the sheep, of passing along information because it was published in The Bushong Bulletin and certified by Carol Willsey Bell. Well I'm sorry for that and when I started actually going to courthouses with my husband and looking into that old information to verify it's validity, we both came to the conclusion that some of it was fabricated. That is why I do my own research. You should too! If that's power, then so be it. Power over telling you to be your own person, do your own research and do the right thing with the integrity of the research. Power is in the original documents not in trying to control people's minds. Gloria Neiger Bushong

    1. [BOSCHONG] Tessie Marie Bushong and her parentage
    2. Russell Bushong
    3. Boschong Subscribers, I am reworking this post since it is important and was deleted. I had hoped someone would say something about the undocumented and absolutely off the wall post on Tessie Marie Bushong on the other List but no one did and in a way I truly understand why. :) I may be far from a perfect researcher but I am smart enough to know that with Tessie Marie Bushong, there is a lot more to know concerning this girl. That's is why back in December 2005 with the post on Lewis, I never actually came out and said that Frank was Tessie's father. I was skeptical of that information then and I still am. That was Stormy's information on the Forum, not mine. I just told the person that put the query on that Bushong Surname Forum, that I had researched Frank Bushong, son of Lewis Bushong, which was the truth since she had mentioned a Frank. And then there was some discussion between Stormy and others on that forum and a conclusion was reached and then this month submitted to the Bushong List without a single document. I would never have gone as far as to say publicly on any List that Tessie Marie Bushong was the child of Frank Bushong and his sister Elizabeth Bushong and as the result of incest. YIKES! What kind of genealogy is this? Did our researcher do any research in the Archival records of the Orphanage where Tessie Marie Bushong was living in 1930? I'll bet not. Did he send for an obit on Elizabeth, Frank and Tessie? I'll bet not. Has he sent for a death certificate for Tessie which may or may not give proper information, depending on who the informant was? I'll bet not. Has he talked to a living descendant? I'll bet not. Tessie's history remains a mystery until properly researched by someone who really knows how to do that and that obviously isn't the submitter of that post or there would have already been documentation to go with the post. Tessie is never in a single census living with Frank Bushong or his sister Elizabeth so other then some very shaky Oral history and the fact that they married in the same county that Frank was a resident of, where is the proof? Many people from other counties went to Poinsett County to marry. In fact the ONLY census record I could find Tessie in, is the 1930 census in the orphanage in Little Rock, a long way from Poinsett County back in those days. We don't know how she acquired that name. I am changing the statement about her not be enumerated in the 1920 census. She isn't found with the Bushong name. If you believe that she is the SSDI person born 8 January 1920 in Greene County, Arkansas, then she is in the 1920 census under another name not Bushong. The starting date for the 1920 census was April 1st so she would have been about 3 months old. The child in the household of Frank and Ollie Bushong in 1920 is their daughter Essie Mae Bushong who died in 1922 at the age of 10 years. Owen Chapel Cemetery Greene County, Missouri ESSIE MAE BUSHONG d/o J. F. and Ollie 26 September 1912 26 September 1922 ------------------------- TESSIE MARIE BUSHONG Born: About 1920-1921, Arkansas Died: Unknown Married: 4 July 1936, Poinsett County, Arkansas to Orville Dawson Buried: Unknown ------------------------- SSDI Tessie M. Dawson 8 January 1920 January 1984 If this is Tessie Marie Bushong and collecting social security, someone in her family should write to the Social Security Administration and get a copy of her original application, as it will give information on where she was born and her real name. --------------------------- The only census Tessie is found in is the 1930 census. Tessie was in an Orphanage in 1930 in Little Rock, Arkansas as a 9 year old. Census states she was born in Arkansas, parents unknown. But when did she enter that orphanage? As an infant? By July 1936 at age 16 she has married Orville Dawson in Poinsett County, Arkansas probably to get away from the orphanage. I could not find her in the 1940 census but she is definitely NOT living with Frank, Ollie and his sister Elizabeth who are living in Little River Township, Poinsett County, Arkansas in 1940. 1940 Federal Census: Arkansas Little River Township, ED 56-9, Poinsett County Enumerated 10 April 1940 Page 171A, Sheet 10 Lines 26-28, HH 188 Frank Bushong Head/M/W/49/Md/5thGradeEd/OwnsHome/FurnitureManufacturer/1935livinginTrumann/BornIL Ollie Bushong Wife/Female/White/45/4thGradeEd/WorkingInHome/BornArk Lizzie Bushong Sister/Female/White/40/Single/3rdGradeEd/WorkingInHome/BornArk During the 1920s and 1930s, Arkansas along with several other states was going through a terrible depression and drought of great magnitude. Tuberculosis was rampant in the country. Many people could not care for their children and placed them in Orphanages, sometimes even leaving them on the doorstep and fleeing. Thus Tessie is in an orphanage possibly because of the sad circumstances of some family. But even with oral history, it is ridiculous and bad genealogical research to conclude that she was the product of Bushong incest without some sound proof. Someone really blew this research. Tessie's lineage remains a mystery until a document between 1920 and 1930 can be found to explain her circumstances and her parentage. Perhaps or perhaps not, Elizabeth was her mother and the baby was dropped off at the orphanage after her birth because of illegitimacy. Perhaps Frank got some girl pregnant while married to Ollie and the girl dropped the baby off at the orphanage, knowing she couldn't give her a life with two parents. But I do not believe for one minute that brother Frank Bushong and sister Elizabeth Bushong are the natural parents. Like I stated, won't know until the orphanage records are read. As a point of reference just remember that written histories have proven to be flawed, Oral histories have been proven to be flawed and even with research, sometimes you are wrong because you may not have all the pieces. Since the proof is in the pudding and we know that Mitchell is not a Bushong as proven by DNA, the fallacy would have lived on for eternity. Ta, ta. Gloria Neiger Bushong

    3. John, Why am I not surprised that you are coming to the defense of Rick? LOL I believe you are the one that needs to read more. Rick said in that conversation with Stormy that Tessie was Frank and Ollie's daughter and that she is enumerated with them in the 1920 census. This is not true. The child enumerated in the 1920 census with Frank and Ollie is Essie Mae Bushong not Tessie Marie Bushong. Essie died when she was 10 years old. 3. Boschong Subscribers, I just transcribe them the way they are written by the Clerk of the Court at the time it was recorded back in the 1840s and this particular part of the suit stated Eve Tentsman, widow of Abraham Myers, late of Hancock County, deceased. I cannot explain why this is stated that way since this is not 1840s and I cannot talk to the Clerk who wrote it down, but since Eve received 1 full third share of the Estate rather the one 21st share, she was pretty high up in the relationship with Abraham Myers. I thought perhaps she is a daughter but the only place it states a relationship to Abraham Myers is right here and it states widow. I can't explain it but I'm sure some brilliant mind out there will figure it out. 3. Good beautiful Morning Boschong Subscribers, This particular Hancock County Ohio Chancery record has a lot of information relevant to the genealogy of the Hancock County Bushongs and must refer you back to questions I posted long ago on the List. See BOSCHONG Archives for September 2006, July 2008, April 2009, June 2009, April 2010, July 2010, May 2011, July 2011, August 2011, May 2012, June 2012, and June 2013 for more information. During these posts, I went back and forth with John Bushong vs wives Anna Rodabaugh and Anna Stover and still it is not totally resolved and this Chancery record puts a lot of credibility to my questions about the real relationship with John and Ann Bushong buried in Williamstown and the Augustine Bushong family and it's correctness with the Stovers, Bushongs and Rodabaughs, rather then with Jacob Bushong and Eve Bossert. I have always said that John Bushong married to Barbara Kreighbaum is the son of Jacob Bushong and Eve Bossert and this Chancery may help to add credence to my claim. The name Tentsman in this Chancery record is also spelled Tintsman in other records. They are one and the same people. I believe that Eve Tentsman/Tintsman was a Myers. And for more clarity I believe that Stover and Stoner can be interchangeable too in their spelling. The Chancery is clearly spelled Stover. -------------------- PART 1 OF 3 --------------------- Hancock County Ohio Chancery Records Book 1, Page 229 Isaac Tentsman and Eve Tentsman his wife VS Moses Myers et al The State of Ohio Hancock County In Partition Proceedings in the Court of Common Pleas within and for the County of Hancock and State aforesaid on the twenty eighth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty four before M.
