I have been looking into that for years and have only straightened it out recently, thanks to new research done by the Packer family. Sorry to confirm that our ancestor Phillip Packer Jr. was the illegitimate offspring of Phillip Sr. and not the Phillip Packer Jr. who was descended from Edward I.
