In the 1841 census, strangely, my Jane BORTON was listed as a 1 yr old James BORTON! In the following census she was 11yr old Jane. I wonder what happened there?! It looks like she was christened 22 Sept 1839 & there was a Jane BORTON who's birth was registered in the Brackley district of Northamptonshire in the 3rd qtr of 1839, so she's probably mine. She married William WORLEY in Aynho in 1865, but the banns were read at St. John the Baptist Church in Hillingdon. William was born in Hayes, Mddx. Her parents were Charles BORTON & Sarah BYGRAVE who were both born in Aynho in around 1810 & 1816. Their children were - Edward BORTON 1837-1838 Jane BORTON 1839 Emma or Susannah BORTON 1841 (but not the one who married James DUNN) Robert BORTON 1843 Elizabeth BORTON 1846 Hannah BORTON 1846-1846 or 1848 Henry BORTON around 1849 Thomas BORTON 1852 Charles BORTON around 1854 Frederick BORTON 1859.
