He was the Son of Samuel Borton and part of the Borton Family that migrated to Fulton County in about 1848. His letters are important because he was stationed at Jonston's Island prison for confederate soliders in lake Erie in 1864. They want to feature hios letters and are looking for a photo of him or his family. If anyone has them please contact me or John at the Fulton County Historical Society.
