    3. On John Borton, I have a note that it is possible to get a copy of his will from the NJ State Library. 28 July 1687, vol.I, p.47 Burlington Wills There is also a reference to "1687 Nov. 15. Inventory of the estate." Has anyone done this? If so, would you mind emailing me a copy if you have it scanned or contact me off the list about a mailing address. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/TIF.2ACEB/87 Message Board Post: ___________________ MADISON INDEX Madison, February 10, 1899 (Greenwood Co., KS.) Obituary DIED: Isaac BORTON at the home of his son, J. W. Borton, Tuesday morning, Feb., 07, 1899, at the ripe old age of 87 years 11 month. Isaac was born 15 miles east of Philadelphia, in New Jersey, March 06, 1811. Moved to Clinton County, Ohio, 1838. Thence to Bureau County Illinois, 1858. Then he moved to Jewel County Kansas and settled on a farm in 1879. Thence to Brown County Kansas in 1887, remaining three years after which he came to Greenwood Co. KS., to spend his remaining years with his son J. W. (John Wesley) In 1840, he married miss Eve Speed (Speece) of Auglaize County, Ohio, who passed away to the other shore 15 years ago. He leaves two daughters and three sons and a score of grand children to mourn their loss. Mr. Borton had not enjoyed the best of health for some years but his death at this time was very sudden, feeling exceedingly well a few hours before his death. The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved children who are now fatherless and motherless losing the two best friends on earth. But they are consoled by the fact that sooner or later all must pass through the shadow of the valley of death, and all that is born must die. A GRANDCHILD __________________________- CARDS OF THANKS To our many friends; we wish to thank you for your kindness and attention through the sickness and death of our loved father. There is a vacant corner, In it stands an empty chair; Long did our father ponder, But alas we miss him there. Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Moser Mr. and Mrs. D. N. Pritchard ___________________

Thought I'd pass it along. Hi Karen, I ran across some old notes of mine and they include early Borton family. I was searching my Horner family and copied it in Salt Lake when there at the library several years ago. It lists 14 Borton souls and some spouses and an Isaac Horner who married Kaziah Borton in 1771. It is in book "Bible Records - Burlington County N.J.. 974.9 V29ed Vol 6. at LDS library. They might make a copy for you if none of your searchers already has it. Page 173. It says "On a loose piece of paper in the Carlton P. Lippincott Family Bible is the following record of Carlton's mother's family". My copy is very hard to read . It was copied by Timothy Chalkley Matlock 1954. I do not have time to answer loads of mail - picked you to get the info out. I know I would love to find something like that for my early N.J. line. If you do not have and If LDS cannot send you copy I will go get copy of my page which is very dim and mail to you snail mail. Happy Hunting faye horner <faye303@comcast.net>
