Hi Valerie, SinclairsHill still exists, it is a village and farm on the B6460 to the NNW of Swinton, consists of about 20 cottages and a large farmhouse. Millerstain Row of Cottages should probably be Mellerstain as that is the name of a big house just to the east of Earlston. In the 1881 Census there was a Park Farm in/near Earlston, presumably where the hinds cottage was. In the 1881 census, there were a 1, 2 and 3 Dove Cot. In the 1881 census there is a Mungo Walls Farm House, cottar houses and shepherds house, so it was a farm. Byrewalls was a farm of 562 acres employing 6 men. Birkenside was a farm of 868 acres employing 12 men. I hope that helps, the above was taken from an address search of the 1881 census, so I do not know which apart from SinclairsHill still exist, but Birkenside and MungoWalls sound familiar.
