    3. What an unhelpful person you are Mr Joe Boyd Williams. I can only assume that it was a feeble attempt at humour. The train service to the borders was axed in the 60's and is a bone of contention to everyone living in the Borders. Buses, and not very good ones, are the only form of public transport available to the 100,000 of us who live here. We have to drive many miles to take a train, well over an hours car drive for almost all of us; it also takes a lot longer by bus. Then again, living in Katy Texas you are probably an expert in public transport. In answer to the original request there is currently no web site that provides information on buses, one is planned according to the Scottish Borders Tourist Board. Trying to find a phone number is a nightmare!! And they wonder why visitor numbers to the Borders are showing little or no growth. -- Best Wishes Richard
