Winifred, When I saw the Telfer name my antennas went up. My g,g,g grandfather was Gilbert Telfer. He m Janet Amos c 1793/94. I know nothing else of him but Janet was b 14 Jan 1773 at Westerfalside, Southdean Par, Roxburghshire. I assume that he was b ca 1770. I know all their ch. The first was Betty ba 30 mar 1794 in Hawick, Roxburghshire. Isabel (my g, g,grandmother was b 8 Aug 1801 in Hadden, Sprouston Par. One son b in Shedlaw, Northumberland, England and the other 6 b in Linton Parish. What is your line?? I am anxious to hear. Hoping we can find a connection.
