    3. Hello all Interested to know if anyone else is researching the family of John INGLIS and Janet WILSON. I have no birth or marriage dates for them, but they had 4 sons between 1822 and 1829, baptised in the parish of EDROM and John was described in the OPR as being a groom at Blackadder House. By 1831 they were in Edinburgh as son no. 5 was born in St Stephens, Edinburgh. 1841 census sees them, with some of children in HOWE St, Edinburgh, and 1851 in DUNDAS Street. John died in 1869, parents given as Robert INGLIS and Elizabeth MORE, whom I cannot trace and Janet died in 1870, parents given as John WILSON and Jane KEMP. The latter were in Edrom in 1818, as their daughter Margaret was born then. I haven't been able to find John INGLIS and Janet WILSON on the 1861 census in Edinburgh. I originally picked the family up in the LDS personal ancestral file, there it is suggested that three of the sons went to the States, and a fourth to New Zealand. One son, my gggrandfather remained in Edinburgh, and I have found him and his family without too much difficulty. The other children I have not been able to find, and suspect they may have died young. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ + Stella Phillips + sphillips@sol.co.uk ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
