Hi, I'm new to the list and would be grateful if anyone can help or knows of the following. My grandfather JOSEPH EDWIN WALLACE was born in MILLOM near ULVESTON Cumberland in 1880, and a brother WILLIAM H WALLACE born 1879, also in MILLOM. Their parents were BENJAMIN WALLACE born CONISTON, Lancs. aged 45 in the 1881 c ensues. His Occupation was a Master Printer. His wife was MARGERY HALL, Also born Coniston and she had a sister Catherine aged 14, who lived with them in MILLOM I had been told that THE WALLACE family originally came from Penrith but as all the close family are now dead - I have no way of getting any other info. Joseph Wallace married a AMY MARGARET BLACKWELL born DALTON IN FURNESS originally from CRAVEN in CORNWALL. Other connected family names are SKELSEY, ROYSTONS AND STOUTS but I dot have any other info except that I do know some went to the USA. In anticipation. Best wishes Sue
