Hello I am searching for the roots of my 5th great grandfather, James Weldon (Welden), b.1680, Springfield, Hampshire (now Hampden) County, MA, USA. He m. Mary Lamb in 1707 at Springfield. They settled in the town of Glastonbury, Hartford County, CT, USA. There were five children from this marriage. Mary died before 1726 and he married Experience Lamb from Glastonbury, Hartford County, CT, USA in 1726. There were five children from this marriage, bringing the total children from both marriages to ten. James d. at Glastonbury in 1767. All references to nationality point to England, possibly Northumberland Co. James's father or grandfather may have emigrated from Northumberland to Massachusetts between about 1625 to 1680.
