Hi again, I have found mentioned in the OPR's for Hawick and Wilton the announcement of Wedding Banns in October 1850 for my G-G-G-Grandparents. I am wondering what Churches these would have been announced in? I would imagine it would be the 'Church of Scotland' ? Does anyone know which denomination the OPR's were primarily taken from and the actual parish churches that existed around the 1850's. I would love to be able to find the Church that my G-G-G-Grandparents were married in - or at least were members of (I'n not sure which one they were married in!) By the way - does anyone know if there are copies of early papers from Hawick around the 1850's available on film anywhere? This could be a good source of information if I was lucky! Thanks, Cameron.
