I asked the list a few weeks ago about finding the birth of James MARK who, according to his gravestone in Armidale (New South Wales), was born in Gallashiels in about 1807 and his father was called George. I have now tracked a second piece of evidence. The ship's passenger lists for the Midlothian in 1837 list him and his family. It states that he was born in 1809 at Roxburgh, parish of Norwich (the writing is hard to read). Can anybody help me out or direct me to archives/library that may hold this information?
